"Unbearable Opera" - February 13, 2010

A good time was had by all last night at the first fund-raising event held by the MWHS 50 Year Club for the renovation of the Old High School, home of the "curved, suspended balcony" auditorium, located in Mountaineer Heritage Park, 602 W. Hubbard, Mineral Wells, Texas. The current MWHS auditorium located at 3801 Ram Boulevard was the site for the very funny rendition of Goldilocks and the 3 Bears, plus Clarence, in the "Unbearable Opera."

The "Unbearable Opera" director, Betty Ann Holly Hawkins, graduated from MWHS in 1949. She taught drama for 35 years and retired from the MWISD, for the third time, in 2005. Betty is still substitute teaching at the high school. The Club realizes and appreciates her determination and hard work to put this play together and present it to the public. Thank you, Betty!

The "Unbearable Opera" cast, how can we ever thank you enough? You are great!

A great big "Thank You" to everyone on the program for agreeing to perform. We appreciate you so much!
