Coming Home Queen to be Presented at Homecoming

The annual Mineral Wells High School Homecoming Parade is Thursday, Sept. 15, beginning at 7 p.m.  The parade will be led by grand marshal U.S. Army Col. (Ret.) Willie H. Casper, Jr. The theme this year is “Our Time to Shine” and demonstrates the perseverance and strong will our students possess on and off of the football field. The parade will begin from the usual starting point on North Oak Avenue at 7 p.m. and finish at Miller Stadium, where Col. Casper will speak to the students.

Then on Friday a homecoming pep rally will be held at the high school at 10:34 a.m. The Rams will take on the Hawks from Iowa Park that night at 7:30 p.m. The 2011 Homecoming Queen, Coming Home Queen and princesses will be presented at half time. All alumni are encouraged to attend any and all of these activities.

This year will be the first time the 50 Year Club has been asked to select a Coming Home Queen from our membership. She will be presented at half time and presented to you here in these pages afterwards.
