Wilson Wayne Blocker
Mineral Wells High School 1958 Junior
Mineral Wells has lost another much loved and respected member of its community. Wilson Wayne Blocker died early Wednesday morning, March 26, 2014.
was a member of the Mineral Wells High
School Class of 1959, and he and his wife, Charlsie, were faithful and active
participants in the annual 50 Year Club Reunions. Wayne
I first met
in 1962 when I graduated from MWHS and
went to work at the Fort Wolters Post Exchange. He was working in the shipping department
of the PX and his sister, Elfreida, worked in the office where I was employed.
They both were so kind and I have always looked back on those days with
fondness because of them. Wayne
The outpouring of love and words of affection and memories on Facebook and the Prayer Chain pages have been beautiful to read and must be comforting to his family and friends who will miss him so much.
Wayne and Charlsie owned and operated Blocker's Bargain Barn in Mineral Wells where he loved to visit with the new and long-time customers and friends who came by. He could always make you smile with a joke or a friendly word.
